GEICO launches mobile application for policyholders

Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO), a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family, has launched GEICO Connect, a new mobile application that allows access to GEICO insurance information via mobile devices.

According to GEICO, the new app is aimed for customers designed with multi-driver policies. The mobile app ensures policyholders that their spouse or teens will have 24-hour access to essential insurance information.

The application features digital access to insurance ID cards, GEICO's Roadside Help and GEICO Accident Assistance, a step-by-step guide for motorists should an accident occur, said the insurer.

GEICO's mobile team manager Pete Meoli said, handing a family member the keys to the car can be an anxiety-filled experience. GEICO Connect offers policyholders some essential tools to help their loved ones when they are on the road.

GEICO stated that the new app is currently available from the iTunes for iPhone users, with an Android version to follow.
